Last week i went ice skating and i feel over, but instead of landing on my bum i landed on my lower back which sent pain al the way up my spin.
i ignored it for the rest of the day however the next day when i woke up i was struggling to move and in tears because of the pain.
I have tried to ignore it all week and it began to go away until yesterday afternoon were it began to frob again and it is still really hurting! does anyone no what i should do?
I would tell you to put an ice pack on it but to see a doctor immediately for x-rays. Leaving a back injury untreated is only going to cause further damage. You could have a compression injury if you jammed your back. Regardless, seek treatment. Good Luck!!!

The muscles got tight went into spasm and haven’t released and you will have that pain until you release those muscles. Also I wouldn’t ice muscles in spasm unless you like pain for that is the usual result. Heat to expand something that is already tight would be better. Here is how you can release the muscles so you don’t have to worry about that part at all:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but remain there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.

Try to stay as gently mobile as you can and try using ice on the affected area. You should go and see your doctor so they can examine you and advise you on an appropriate course of action. This might involve referral to someone like a chiropractor for treatment and advice.
